How fake is New York Post headline dismissing California girl's story about naked man at YMCA? - Women at Crunch Fitness saw his "junk"
New York Post gets *** three stars for fake news
After falsely reporting a 17-year-old California girl cried over a “transgender woman’s penis” at the YMCA in Santee, Calif., the New York Post followed up with a second story, falsely suggesting the victim’s story couldn’t be true if the “transgender woman” had surgery.
Rebecca Phillips spoke to the Santee City Council on January 11 to inform them she encountered a “naked male” in the female locker room of the YMCA. She did cry when she said the female locker room is supposed to be a safe haven for children like her five-year-old sister. But she never said she saw the man’s penis. After the New York Post and others reported she saw his penis, she clarified on Tucker Carlson Tonight she only saw the naked man from behind him.
The first New York Post headline reads, “17-year-old scolded for crying over transgender woman’s penis at YMCA.” The second headline reads, “Transgender woman Christynne Wood says teen’s graphic YMCA locker room story can’t be true because [he] had surgery.”
The Post reported, “Wood said Phillips could not have seen male genitalia, because [he’s] had gender confirmation surgery.” If Wood, the apparent subject of the girl’s complaint, had his penis removed then yes, Phillips could not have seen it. But that would not make Phillips’ story untrue, because Phillips never said she saw it. It would make the New York Post’s story untrue. So how could the New York Post stoop so low as to falsely blame a teen girl victim for their false reporting? Trans activist extremists have been using false headlines like the Post’s to slander the girl and attempt to discredit her testimony.
Wood did still have male genitalia in February 2017 when he told Crunch Fitness of El Cajon he transitioned to a woman and requested access to the female locker room.
According to the complaint in a lawsuit he filed against Crunch Fitness, Wood requested access to the female locker room in September 2016 and presented a note from a doctor stating Wood “was a transgender woman undergoing gender affirming medical treatment.” Crunch declined Wood’s request.
San Diego County court records show in February 2017 Christopher Wallace Wood changed his name to Christynne Lili Wrene Wood and changed his legal gender. According to his lawsuit against Crunch he again requested access to the female locker room and showed staff his legal gender change. Crunch staff “asked Wood whether or not [he] had completed sex reassignment surgery, or words to that effect. Wood responded that [he] had not.”
A Crunch Fitness member who encountered Wood at the gym when he went there said, “One day he started wearing a cheap yellow wig. It become an everyday thing and later he started to wear a women’s bathing suit. It was so uncomfortable and gross because you could see his junk in the suit.”
The Post also quoted Wood trying to gaslight Phillips, as if there was something wrong with the teen girl who did not want to shower in front of a naked man - rather than something being wrong with an elderly man who wants to strip naked in front of women and girls.
